The Hobbycraft Experience -
Exhibition at the NEC March 2007

The Federation provided visitors with an unusual but very popular stand at this four day event, far removed from card-making and sewing, the main thrust of the exhibition.  Nevertheless the Stewards answered numerous enquiries from fellow enthusiasts, many of whom had “done “ the web and now found they had to move beyond it out into the wide world!

The aim was not just to answer enquiries but also to encourage people to join a Family History Society to broaden their knowledge and enjoy the benefits membership can bring.

This is the second time I have stewarded at the event and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  If you have the opportunity to do the same at a future exhibition, do take it.  You will meet some interesting people and maybe help someone to find their elusive ancestor.
