Somerset Record Office (SRO)
The following news item has been taken from the SRO website:
“From Easter until Autumn 2010, the Somerset Record Office is moving to the new Somerset Heritage Centreon the west side of Taunton. Due to the move, we will not be able to produce original documents until we re-open.
“A microfiche only service will run Tuesday-Friday from Easter until Friday 2 July - please make sure you make an appointment before you visit. From 5 July until the autumn, the office will be closed, although we will continue to answer enquiries by post, phone and email throughout the move. For more information, please see the Somerset Heritage Centre section on this website.”
