Dudley Archives and Local History Service are changing their opening hours.  From 1 September 2010 we will be closing the last full week in every month and we will be re-opening every Wednesday.  Saturday opening hours will remain the same.

New opening hours as of 1 September 2010:
1st, 2nd & 3rd weeks in every month
          Tuesday - Wednesday & Friday 9am - 5pm,
          Thursday 9.30am - 7pm.
1st and 3rd Saturday in every month
          9.30am - 12.30pm

We have decided to close for a full week each month to help us prepare for our move to a new building on the site of the Black Country Living Museum.  In our closed weeks, we will be boxing and listing collections and preparing location lists.  It is not possible to complete this work in the one day a week that we currently close.

There will be regular bulletins on our website to keep you up to date on our progress and we hope to offer more volunteering opportunities as a result.   If you would like to get involved in our work behind-the-scenes or in the search room, please do get in touch.

I hope you will like our new way of working and that you will experience the benefit of access to more collections and a wider range of material very soon.
