Details of the largest family history centre operated in the British Isles by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The site includes a series of interactive maps showing the boundaries of a range of key jurisdictions in England as at 1851.
The National Archives (TNA) <www.nationalarchives.gov.uk>
The National Archives holds archives created by central government and the law courts of the England and Wales. Over 5% of records can be downloaded. The other records are in their original form only. Most records can be copied and sent within 14 days.

  • The Catalogue (“Discovery”) <discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/>, which contains over 32 million descriptions of the records held by TNA and more than 2,500 other archives across the country. Over 9 million records are available for download.

Online catalogue containing over 6 million printed volumes books, archives and other records. Indexes and scanned images of wills proved in Wales before 1858 can be viewed on this site.
Public Record Office of Northern Ireland <www.proni.gov.uk/>
The electronic catalogue includes over one million entries. Some original records held by PRONI have been digitised and are searchable on the site.
